I am currently a leader within Mamba Marketing, managing a small sales team. I joined Mamba at the backend of January 2008.
I previously worked in ASDA doing Photo Development, doing the bare minimum I could get away with without getting fired because I knew no matter how hard I worked I wouldn't progress or increase my earnings. At the turn of the year I decided I had to do something with my life and find a career I could succeed and progress in. Mamba was exactly what I was looking for. A company that rewarded you purely on results not what background or qualifications or experience I had. I left school with 2 Highers and 8 Standard Grades.
Since joining Mamba I have traveled all over Scotland, been to meetings in Glasgow, Manchester and was sent on an all expenses paid trip to London where I spent a few days at Cobra Head Office spending time with Vice Presidents, the Managing Director of Cobra and other senior members in the company which for someone who had been there for 3 months was unbelievable.
I love all the extra incentives available in Mamba, in fact recently I was selected to attend a team building day out at the Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond and went on their beautiful cream leather interior yacht, with champagne on arrival, amazing!
Through the help and support provided for me I have developed my inner-personal skills and confidence. The personal development alone is unique to the company which couldn't be achieved in a 9 - 5 environment.
By the end of the year my goal is to be managing a sales team large enough to support my own office.
I couldn't work anywhere else.
I started in Mamba Marketing in February 2007. I was initially attracted into the industry with Mamba for the unique opportunity to learn and develop new skills and the opportunity to train and develop others, I soon realised the opportunity was far greater and this has enabled me to progress to a level where I now lead a sales team of over 15 people on a daily basis.
I have learned over the last 14 months that by applying yourself fully and by working hard consistently you can achieve your goals, I love the recognition within the business and have been awarded a Rising Star and Leadership Award at major conferences / rallies throughout the UK where there were over 3500 people in attendance.
A huge motivator for me has always been the control I have over my earning potential on a weekly basis, averaging £400 - £500 per week. I have not only managed to save £6,500 over the last 14 months but due to the bonus structure available within Mamba I have earned myself (just within the last 6 months) a further £2300 for having fantastic customer service on behalf of our major clients.
Before I joined Mamba Marketing I was a bar manageress with no long term goals, very little focus and felt "stuck in a rut" with very few idea's on where I wanted to go in life. I was just living life from day to day and needed a challenge - which Mamba has certainly provided me with.
I have had amazing opportunities to do a lot of traveling to attend meetings / conferences around the UK and Europe, my first being within 3 months of joining Mamba I was invited to attend a conference over 4 days with 500 other individuals from around Europe in a stunning hotel in the Algarve, Portugal. I have also attended numerous team building days, in April I attended a VIP day out at Knockhill to watch the British GT Championship and cheer on the CR Scuderia Team whom came P1 and P2 and just recently I had the pleasure of being invited to spend the day at the exclusive Cameron House Hotel on Loch Lomond where we had a private cruise on the stunning "Celtic Warrior" yacht.
The opportunity within Mamba Marketing is one in a million. I have achieved so much more than I initially thought was possible in such a short space of time and this in turn has given me unlimited choices in life and really opened my eyes as to how successful I can and will become over the coming years.
